Le 22e Congrès de l'UNIMA vient de se terminer à San Sebastian / Tolosa en Espagne. Une belle délégation de chez nous représentait nos artistes et artisans. Nos trois Conseillers, Jim Morrow, Marthe Adam et Sabrina Baran ont présenté nos activités et distribué notre belle collection de cartes postales. Suite aux élections internationales, nous sommes heureux de vous annoncer que Louise Lapointe a été élue au Comité Exécutif et comme présidente de la Commission des Festivals. Magali Chouinard a elle été élue comme conseillère indépendante. Nos 5 représentants étaient aussi accompagnés de Lyne L'Italien du FIAMS. Ensemble, ils continueront de représenter les intérêts de la marionnette dans chacune de nos sections à l'international.
The 22e Congress of UNIMA has just come to an end in San Sebastian / Tolosa en Espagne. A beautiful delegation from home represented our artists and artisans. Our three councilors, Jim Morrow, Marthe Adam and Sabrina Baran presented our activities and distributed our beautiful postcard collection. During the International Elections, we are happy to announce that Louise Lapointe was elected on the Executive Committee and as president of the Festivals Commission. Magali Chouinard was elected as independent councillor. Our five delegates were joined by Lyne L'Italien of the FIAMS. Together, all will continue to represent the interests of Canadian puppetry in all our section at an international level.
L'exposition Portraits de Familles préparée par l'AQM l'an dernier a été présentée lors du Congrès. The exhibition Portraits of Families prepared by AQM last year was presented at the Congress.

 | Au coeur de la forêt boréale du Yukon, Theatre in the Bush transpose le rituel du "Bush Party" et le transforme en une soirée interacive multidisciplinaire. Les créateurs jeunes et dynamiques du Yukon et des invités du pays offriront cette soirée de danse, théâtre, slam, boustifaille, musique dès minuit. Le concept est de Brian Fidler du Ramshackle Theatre et le spectacle fait partie du Magnetic North Festival. Set deep in Yukon’s boreal forest Theatre in the Bush takes the ritual and mad magic of a bush party and distills it into an interactive, multidisciplinary event. Featuring a line up of the best and brightest Yukon creators and special guests from across the country, Theatre in the Bush offers playful, daring theatre,dance, underwear fights, spoken word, gourmet food, bonfires and music mixed with a healthy dose of folksy Yukon charm. This evening is an original concept by Brian Fidler of the Ramshackle Theatre as part of the Magnetic North Festival. |
