We are pleased to announce the official opening of registration for the 2027 UNIMA Council, which will take place in Montréal from March 2 to 6, during the next edition of the Festival international de Casteliers.
Organized by UNIMA Canada, this global event will bring together delegates, artists, and professionals in the puppetry arts from more than 70 countries for a week of professional programming, performances, and international exchanges. A unique opportunity to meet other puppetry enthusiasts, build new partnerships, and contribute together to the future of UNIMA, while celebrating the art of puppetry since 1929.

To mark the event’s return to Canada, UNIMA Canada is pleased to offer its members a special package with more than 50% off the all-inclusive price.

L'UNIMA, c'est l'UNION INTERNATIONALE DE LA MARIONNETTE. L'UNIMA existe dans le monde depuis 1929 et des centres nationaux comme celui au Canada existent dans plus de 70 pays. Présente en continu au Québec depuis 1986, UNIMA-CANADA est active partout au Canada depuis avril 2010.
Présentement, UNIMA-CANADA compte 301 membres passionnés des arts de la marionnette, qui vivent et travaillent dans 9 provinces canadiennes regroupés autour de 4 sections: QUÉBEC, ONTARIO, ATLANTIQUE et l'OUEST. Le membership d'UNIMA-CANADA est ouvert à tous et rassemble des membres de partout au pays. Les membres sont des marionnettistes, des artisans, des diffuseurs, des amoureux de la marionnette... tous ceux qui ont à coeur le développement des arts de la marionnette. Le membership est géré chacune des sections et nous vous invitons à visiter la page SECTIONS pour toutes les informations en lien avec l'adhésion. POURQUOI DEVENIR MEMBRE D'UNIMA-CANADA ? En devenant membre d'UNIMA-CANADA, vous donnez une voix plus forte à un regroupement d'individus et d'organismes qui travaillent au rayonnement des arts de la marionnette. Vous faites partie d'une communauté qui veille à partager l'information sur vos créations, vos tournées. Trimestrielle, une infolettre est envoyée aux membres et aux diffuseurs du pays. UNIMA stands for UNION INTERNATIONALE DE LA MARIONNETTE. UNIMA exists since 1929 and national centers, like UNIMA-CANADA are alive in over 70 countries. Well alive in Quebec since 1986, UNIMA-CANADA is present for its members across Canada since April 2010.
Actually, UNIMA-CANADA represents 301 membres that work and live in 9 Canadian provinces, regrouped around 4 sections: QUÉBEC, ONTARIO, ATLANTIC and WEST. UNIMA-CANADA membership is open to all and unites its members across the country. Members are puppeteers, artists, artisans, programmers, puppet aficionados... everyone who has at heart puppetry arts development. Membership is available through sections.
